Allardyce
|
I know I know, not another antic BFS thread but some points worth noting
Allardyce would NEVER in a month of Sunday's played Oxford or Zarate yesterday
He was a guest on BEIN Sports yesterday and before kick off said as clear as day that the game was perfect for "Kevin", his leadership on and off the pitch, his experience
He continued... "I think my association with Kevin may be the reason he's not playing"
Let's also set this straight, Allardyce would never have played Tomkins at right back, Joey O'Hoof every day
He also would never had wanted a "luxury" player like Payet
So hopefully this will be the last we speak of this dinosaur on here however I do fear that he will continue to pop up on screen all season highlighting what he would have done.
As a footnote, BEIN SPORTS, where fade managers, presenters and losers turn up
Presented by Keys and Grey
Studio guests, Allardyce and Gus Poyet
Co commentator, Andy Townsend

Not to mention Ogbonna. Payet , Lanzini ?
Would they have come to the club under Allardyce ?

Re: Allardyce

the main difference is we went out to compete, not just to try and draw 0-0.
when we were 1-0, with 35 to go, JOB must have automatically got up and started warming up!

Could see he different in the first 5 mins.
Towards the end of the 2nd half even 0-1 up we were pinning them back with passing and movement. Great stuff.

Swiss...
Asked what new boss Slaven Bilic had brought to the club Gold said: "Passion, passing the ball and keeping possession. That was noticeable at Arsenal. Traditionally, when we were ahead by a goal we used to launch it upfield. Not this time as we were playing out of defence, passing from player to player."

And when Allardyce played defensive like that, it invited the opposition onto us. Best form of defence is attack.

Sam Allardyce is a bitter, bottle job, defeatist, prideless, cunt, who doesn't even deserve to be spoken about any more.
All that matters now is that he is no longer our manager and we can look forward to watching football again.

Re: Allardyce

The reason why we kept a lot of the retention of the ball on sunday was due to playing 2 upfront. BFS would have played one hoofed it up to them to then automatically give possession back to Arsenal. The defend deep and soak up tions of pressure. We defended a pretty high line but Reid, Oxford and Ogbonna are quick and Arsenal had no width.

Was disgusted with his arrogant, sulky behaviour after Xmas when it was obvious he wasn't going to have his contract renewed. Took his foot off the gas. Totally unproffessional.

When I finished wallpapering my sons bedroom and people asked who did it.
I said me and my son did, and praise him for the work he did.
In reality, he was more of a hindrance than a help but it cost me nothing to say he helped and he felt good about it.

Watch the interview on Sky after the match, or just trust me when I say he clearly gave a shout out to Sam, handing him some, just some, credit for the charachter and application of the team when digging in to hold off the oppo towards the end.
Don't worry, he didn't suggest it was all Allardyce, or that any of you have to suck his fish head, just handed him some cedit.

Re: GUTTED?

We are one game into the season and very early to draw a view on Bilic vs Allardyce. What does stand out is the approach to the Arsenal game from Bilic, a 442 diamond against Arsenal was a very bold move and executed perfectly. That shows a willingness to take the game to Arsenal whereas Allardyce would have considered this a game we would be lucky to win and played the defensive long ball as West Brom did against Man City on Monday.
The result would have been the same in my view if Allardyce were still here for that Arsenal match.
So with Bilic he showed he was willing to take the game to the opponent and not play the stats game. That may be down to this being his first game but as the season goes on we will see if he changes tact.

"Sam Allardyce left me a good team and left me some quality in the side. We are still short of a few players but we have a chance to do a good job in the Premier League."
Where does he credit him for the defensive organisation please?

You think you cannot, but Bilic did.
